Meet OUR PASTOR

Born in Washington, D.C. to Bishop Darryl and Evangelist Selena M. Brown, Overseer Brown was raised in The Greater Bible Way Church under the foundational leadership of his grandfather, the late Apostle Joe N. Brown. Rooted in a rich heritage of faith, he began serving the local church at a young age and faithfully served in multiple capacities at The Greater Bible Way Church under the leadership of Bishop Neil O. Gross and Pastor Dee Gross, most recently as Associate Pastor, before launching Thrive Church.

Overseer Brown has traveled proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ with prophetic clarity and evangelistic conviction. He served as the International Youth and Young Adult President of the International Bible Way Church of Jesus Christ, Inc. from 2018-2026, and was appointed to the office of Overseer in July 2025.

Overseer Brown carries a passion for souls and for seeing lives transformed through the power of the Gospel. He is driven to push people into their God-given purpose and destiny, equipping them to walk boldly in all that God has called them to be.

With a passion for education and a desire to serve the pulpit through scholarship, Overseer Brown holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sport and Exercise Science from Messiah University (Grantham, PA), a Master of Divinity from the Interdenominational Theological Center (Atlanta, GA), and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies at Columbia International University (Columbia, SC).

In 2016, he married Terrin Stevens, and together they are the proud parents of their miracle daughter, Treasure Grace Brown. Above any titles and accomplishments, Overseer Brown’s greatest desire remains unchanged: to glorify God and to impact and empower lives through the preaching and teaching of His Word.
